A sculpture of two children, which weighs about 50kg, has been stolen from
outside a house in Fife.
Police said the statue, which depicts two children, would probably have
required two people to carry it away.
The sculpture is worth about £1,500 and was taken from Mid Shore,
Pittenweem, over the weekend.
Fife Constabulary have asked anyone with information about the theft to
contact them.
The sculpture's owner, Keith Halden, said he feared the work, a gift from
his artist brother-in-law, might have been tossed into the local harbour.
Constable David Peacock said: "Due to this sculpture weighing nine stone, it
would take considerable effort and possibly two people to move it."
