Appeal: Stolen Musical Clock

North East Leeds Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary which 
occurred at 11.30pm on the night of Thursday, Oct 5 at Temple Newsam 
House in Leeds.

A lone intruder entered the property armed with what is believed to be 
something similar to a pickaxe handle. A musical clock which is believed 
to be worth £65,000 was stolen. The clock dates back to c1800 and was 
made for the Thomas Week's Museum.

The sex of the intruder is not known and they are described only as 
wearing dark clothing, a balaclava, carrying a wooden stick with a white 
grip and a holdall. The suspect made off on foot across the golf course.
The clock was the only item stolen during the incident.
