Police searching for stolen sculpture

PITTSFIELD, Mass., March 30

Pittsfield police are looking for a giant steel sculpture that should be in
Park Square.

The silver sculpture, known as Dancer Two, was noticed missing Thursday. Not
that far from the empty space is a similar blue one that was knocked to the
ground.

The mayor calls it a disappointing and irresponsible act. Others are
guessing it's a prank.

"I'm hoping, as word gets out and somebody sees that some rather large steel
sculpture turns up in somebody's backyard, that they'll let us know or
convince the person to bring it back," said Ron Latham of Artscape. "We'd
just love to see the thing brought back to us."
