The rings, which are centuries old, were taken from a glass cabinet some time between 1500 BST on 6 August and 1400 BST on 7 August.

One of the rings stolen was described as gold with an engraved gem. It has a very slender hoop which swells to a slightly raised bezel.

The second ring, which dates from the 13th or 14th Century, consists of a slender hoop which gradually widens.
