LOS ANGELES -- Two men escaped after holding up an art gallery clerk in North 
Hollywood, getting away with 15 paintings valued up to $1 million, police said.

The holdup at the NoHo Art Gallery at 5007 Lankershim Blvd., near Magnolia 
Boulevard, occurred at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday, said Karen Smith of the Los 
Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section. She said the men were not 
wearing masks, but no other descriptions were given.

The paintings have a combined value up to $1 million.
