[MSN] THIEVES have stolen more than £1million worth of paintings and antiques in a raid on an isolated manor house.

£1M RAID ON MANOR
THIEVES have stolen more than £1million worth of paintings and antiques in a
raid on an isolated manor house.

The burglars targeted Fuidge Manor, near Okehampton, Devon, while owner
Patsy Waddington was out of the country. 

The haul included a Turner watercolour worth around £250,000. Mrs Waddington
said: "I just cannot believe it. I live very quietly here and do not
advertise I am wealthy."

Police have appealed to antique and art dealers to look out for the post
code EX17 5ED stamped on the stolen items.
