Art thief in Axminster

POLICE in Axminster are asking the public to be on the look out for distinctive artwork stolen during a burglary in the town.

The studio of Ricki Romain was broken into between Friday May 11 and Sunday May 13 and a quantity of paintings stolen.

Mr Romain has told officers that some of the paintings have been returned to him but others are still missing.

Anyone with information about the burglary, the missing paintings or efforts to sell them is asked to contact PC Joanne Arundale at Honiton police station on 08452 777 444 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting police reference KA/07/223.
