SAN ANTONIO -- Police said they are searching for art thieves who stole more
than $100,000 worth of paintings from an art gallery Sunday morning on the
city's Northwest Side.

Officers said the thieves used an axe to smash out a window of the RMS art
gallery at the intersection of Wurzbach Parkway and Lockhill-Selma at about
8 a.m.

Police said the thieves managed to steal three large paintings, including a
Salvador Dali painting.

Investigators suspect more than one burglar was involved because of the size
of the artwork.
