Haldimand OPP are investigating a break enter and theft from a ship docked
at Nanticoke. On Wednesday shortly after noon police were called out to the
ship that is being restored in the harbour. 

The owner was last on the ship at the end of July and the damage was first
noticed at the end of August. The thief forcibly entered through a window,
and once inside ransacked and vandalized the ship. Many tools, parts,
equipment and a generator were stolen.

This rare ship is the Canadian Marine Heritage Museum's flagship project as
it is the former Royal Canadian Navy Ship Fairmile sub chaser Q051/Radel II.
It is the capitol project for the Canadian Navy Centennial in 2010.
