Appeal: Paintings stolen from Shelf Gallery. 
Friday 7 September, 2007. 

Halifax police are appealing for information after a number of paintings
were stolen from an art gallery on Wade House Road, Shelf on the 2
September. 

At around 5am, two suspects - described as youths wearing dark hooded tops -
are believed to have used a stone to gain entry into the gallery while two
other youths waited outside. 

The youths were then seen to leave the area, heading towards Halifax. 

The paintings that were stolen featured a number of scenes of New York and
Paris as well as Flamenco and Ballet dancers. 

Police are now appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to
call Halifax police on 01422 337059 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555
111. 

Furthermore, anyone who is offered any of the paintings is also asked to
call the police.
