GOAMM foils smuggling over 300 antique pieces

SANA'A, Jan. 26 (Saba) - General Organization for Antiquities, Museums, and Manuscripts (GOAMM) office in the Sana'a International Airport thwarted in 2007 several attempts to smuggle over 300
antique pieces belonged to different eras.

The office's director Ali al-Muhsen stated to Saba that the seized pieces included stone arrow, drills and axes made of flint stone and glass, statues, stone inscriptions, pots, vessels, necklaces, manuscripts and coins backed to the stone, Sheba, Hemairi, Qataban and Islamic eras.

Al-Muhsen said that all the pieces will be delivered to the organization in the coming days.
