Flood hits MSU library

A flood that hit inside the Montana State University library put hundreds of
special collection books in jeopardy on Tuesday.

The fire department was dispatched to the school after an alarm sounded just
after 6:00 a.m., and upon arrival they found that a sprinkler had erupted,
leaving 3" of standing water.

Library administrators tell us that they're now waiting for a full
assessment into how much damage was caused by the water. Overall, between
250 and 300 books are being evaluated and allowed to air-dry.

The books inside the departments special collections include everything from
Lewis and Clark booklets to books pertaining to Montana's history.
